Meet Sarah

Sarah Fardeen, RSSW (she/hers)

South Asian Mental Health Program Director & Co-Founder

The Backstory

Sarah, our South Asian Mental Health Program Director is a mental health counselor based in Mississauga, Canada. She and Liz founded IMHA together in 2020.  Sarah wanted to create a work life where she can mix her passions for mental health, travel and culture together.

Core Strengths

Sarah’s core strengths are being practical and straightforward. She values inclusivity in the workplace. She values different opinions and welcomes out-of-the-box thinking. Besides being a mental health counselor, Sarah is also a mother, daughter, and an introvert.

Guiding Quote

“To make life a little better for people less fortunate than you. That’s what I think a meaningful life is. One lives not just for oneself, but for one’s community."

Ruth Bader Ginsburg

Sarah’s life purpose is to serve others in whatever capacity possible. She finds it exciting to see the first hand impact IMHA can have on people they work with directly or indirectly.
